The story follows a Little Man whose world—his land, crops, and
animals—is devoured by three God-monsters. To protect the remnants of his life, he hides the sun and the moon, plunging the world into a desolate gray. Following a series of harrowing negotiations and adventures, the monsters finally regurgitate the world; however, they transform into volcanoes, tsunamis, and wild beasts that continue to haunt humanity—a timeless parable reflecting the modern political and human crises, then and now.. This multi-layered narrative serves as both a magical fairytale for children and a sophisticated political fable for adults. The film’s unique aesthetic is achieved through a blend of “high-tech and low-tech” craftsmanship: every character and background is hand-cut from paper with scissors and animated in stop-motion on a light table, then digitally composited and manipulated in After Effects. The storytelling is driven by a rich, immersive score, composed by Pablo Mayor and performed with a live music ensemble, showcasing the traditional sounds of Colombia interwoven with modern elements.
