Folklore Urbano NYC will showcase its educational programs, featuring young students from the Cumbia for Kids “Fiesta de Flores” spring workshop series, as well as Sleepy Hollow Middle School students who participated in the “Black is Beautiful-SHMS Celebrates Diversity” spring residency. Members of the Folklore Urbano ensemble will accompany the students, as well as present a short set of repertoire from Folklore Urbano’s most recent album “El Barrio Project-SALSA”. Music for young and old! In collaboration with Folklore Urbano NYC’s Dance Director, Cumbia for Kids and Cumbia for All co-artistic director, choreographer and dancer Daniel Fetecua.
